Doosan’s annual sales of collaborative robots exceed 1,000 units, breaking South Korea’s sales record

SEOUL, South Korea, January 10, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — DoosanRobot(Doosan Robotics) announced today that it has become the first company in Korea to sell 1,000 collaborative robots annually.

Founded in 2015, Doosan Robotics is dedicated to producing collaborative robots using proprietary technology, and has maintained its No. 1 market share position in South Korea since 2018.

Doosan Robotics is also doing well in the global market, being the first Korean company to be named one of the world’s top five collaborative Robot producers. Currently, the company’s global performance accounts for 70% of its total sales, with continued growth in demand from markets such as North America and Western Europe. Doosan Robotics plans to establish subsidiaries in these regions to further accelerate growth.

The company also announced that it has successfully raised an investment worth $33.7 million from Praxis Capital Partners and Korea Investment Partners, with investors hailing Doosan Robotics’ achievements and competitiveness. The funds raised will be used to expand the company’s global sales base and strengthen research and development to attract more global and Korean collaborations. The company is also planning an initial public offering (IPO), aiming to become the global market leader in collaborative robots in manufacturing and service.
