On September 23, Schneider Electric Manufacturing (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. (abbreviation: Wuhan Factory) and Wuhan Logistics Center held the tenth anniversary celebration. Guests from East Lake High-tech Zone and the management of Schneider Electric China attended the ceremony and witnessed the opening of a new chapter in green intelligent manufacturing and logistics by the Wuhan factory and logistics center.
10th Anniversary Celebration of Schneider Electric Manufacturing (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Logistics Center
On the same day, Wuhan Logistics Center was awarded the “Smart Logistics Center” certification by Schneider Electric China. Wuhan Logistics Center is Schneider Electric’s strategic logistics center in the Midwest. The logistics center has been committed to accelerating the process of digitalization and automation transformation in the past two years. Now it has provided customers with more than 20 customized and convenient logistics services. At the same time, through intelligent AGV, transportation control tower, intelligent control of lighting, intelligent matching of transportation box types, etc., the one-stop real-time presentation of orders, the efficiency of storage and transfer has been greatly improved, and 100% of paper packaging uses green sustainable packaging , set a model for the intelligent and low-carbon development of logistics centers.
As a global model of Schneider Electric’s intelligent manufacturing and green and energy-saving production base, the Wuhan factory has always adhered to “high efficiency” and “sustainability” in its ten-year glorious history, and regarded it as the key driving force for the factory’s vigorous development.

In terms of efficient lean, since 2014, the Wuhan factory has been deeply engaged in lean production and constantly explores room for improvement. In 2018, relying on Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure architecture and platform, the Wuhan factory applied the concept of green and intelligent manufacturing to all aspects of factory operations, and continuously improved the level of automation and digitalization. For example, by deploying the cloud-edge collaborative AI Industrial visual inspection platform, product quality inspection has been greatly improved, and the missed inspection rate is 0 and the over-inspection rate is less than 0.5%.
On the basis of realizing intelligent manufacturing, the Wuhan factory has started to strengthen sustainable development and integrate it into the core of the business. Through digital technology, the Wuhan factory has achieved a 10% reduction in energy consumption, the facility can save up to 30% of basic energy consumption, and the factory’s annual green energy use accounts for 10%.
At the same time, the factory has also carried out a series of green initiatives to practice sustainability. For example, its photovoltaic system has been in operation since February 2018. As of November of that year, it has achieved a total power generation of 560,000 kWh and reduced carbon by 564 tons. Through the 400 cubic meters of rainwater storage facilities, the Wuhan factory can use natural rainwater for green irrigation and ground flushing in the factory area, achieving a win-win situation of cost reduction and re
