From August 11 to 12, 2022, the 8th National Flow Measurement Technical Committee (MTC3) ushered in its first offline meeting in Yinchuan, and Emerson experts attended the meeting.
The new chairman of MTC3, Wang Hongjun, director of the Institute of Thermal Engineering, China Metrology Research Institute, and Pei Haiqin, deputy chairman and vice president of Shanxi Institute of Metrology, issued letters of appointment and delivered speeches to the elected members of the National Flow Measurement Technical Committee. Chairman Wang Hongjun, on behalf of the leaders of the Metrology Department of the General Administration, expressed warm congratulations to the members on their election and conveyed the spirit of the latest document of the General Administration. Secretary-General Li Chunhui presided over the meeting and made a report on the work of the committee.
MTC3 is a technical committee under the direct leadership of the Metrology Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, responsible for the drafting and revision of national standards in the field of flow measurement technology. The new MTC3 committee is composed of 40 representatives from metrology technical institutions, universities, research institutes and enterprises at all levels across the country, with 3 advisory committee members and 7 coordination working group members.
Xu Zhan, senior system architect of Emerson’s traffic solutions department, was elected as a member, and business development manager Zheng Lei was hired as a member of the coordination working group. Due to the replacement of nearly half of the members this time, this meeting specially invited Mr. Zundong from China Institute of Metrology and Mr. Yang Youtao from Beijing Metrology Institute to discuss the issues that should be paid attention to in the drafting and verification of metrological technical specifications, the national metrological verification system table, National metrological verification regulations, measuring instrument type evaluation outline and other aspects of work norms to train members.
The committee reviewed in groups the “Calibration Specification for Bell Jar Gas Flow Standard Device”, “Calibration Specification for Gas Mass Flow Meter”, “Calibration Specification for Laser Doppler Current Meter”, and “Calibration Specification for LNG Dispenser Verification Device”. specifications.
According to the spirit of the General Administration, this committee will: strengthen the positioning of responsibilities; develop large-scale measurement; promote remote, online, and dynamic measurement; and play a functional role, each taking responsibility. In addition to the traditional standard drafting and approval work, it provides more consulting and technical services for the civilian field.
