On the morning of October 28, the world’s first LNG tank container intelligent production line designed and constructed by Lianyungang COSCO SHIPPING Special Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING, was completed and put into operation in Lianyungang, marking that COSCO SHIPPING Group has entered the world’s leading ranks in the field of LNG tank container manufacturing.
Pan Lidong, Chairman, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of COSCO SHIPPING, said at the launching ceremony that as a key step in the construction of COSCO SHIPPING’s LNG industry in Qingdao, Lianyungang COSCO SHIPPING Special Equipment Co., Ltd. provides a standard for solving the problems of digital, networked and intelligent development of the manufacturing industry. With the model, it has built the world’s first intelligent production plant for LNG tank containers, and has become a pioneer in the comprehensive and systematic implementation of the Internet construction of the manufacturing industry.
The reporter learned that Lianyungang COSCO SHIPPING’s special LNG tank containers have the characteristics of flexibility, low cost and standardization, and have both the high reliability of pressure vessels and the advantages of sea-land intermodal transportation of containers, enabling them to reduce the industry threshold to eliminate monopoly and expand small and medium-sized LNG. It has incomparable advantages in other modes of transportation in terms of users, promoting the full utilization of intelligent production.
